Turkey's prime minister has returned home to a hero's welcome after storming out of the World Economic Forum during a heated row with the Israeli president. Thousands of people gathered at the airport in Istanbul to greet Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who left the event in Davos after a fiery exchange with Shimon Peres over the Gaza offensive. "When it comes to killing, you know very well how to kill," Mr Erdogan accused during a panel discussion at the annual gathering of financial and political heavyweights. "I know very well how you hit and killed children on the beaches." His passionate outburst left the packed audience, which included President Obama's close adviser Valerie Jarrett, stunned. He accused the moderator of not allowing him to speak and said he did not think he would return to Davos.
